It was then he visited a dermatologist, who, after a biopsy, confirmed this condition as hypertrophic lichen planus. The conventional medicines were taken, which only helped him temporarily. The patient was looking for a safe and long-term solution for his condition. That is when he decided to see us for treatment.
Along with Lichen Planus, he was also suffering from recurrent kidney stones and allergic rhinitis. However, the problem of lichen planus was what was worrying him the most.

He could not tolerate a hot environment and mostly perspired on the forehead. He was tall and lean and never gained much weight. His parents mentioned that he had a habit of talking in sleep.

His case was studied in depth by Dr. Shah, who prescribed him accordingly.
Follow-ups:
In the initial four months of starting the treatment, there were not many changes in his Lichen Planus symptoms.
From the fifth month onwards, he noted that the lesions had started healing. The active lesions were present only on his legs now. The intensity of itching had reduced by fifty percent. Also, his complaint of allergic rhinitis was better.

On December 21, there was a flare-up, and the patient developed new lesions on the legs. On inquiring, the patient said that he shifted his residence from Pune to Mumbai, and that was quite stressful for him. A few changes in the prescription were made, and he was advised to continue the treatment. The lesions settled after that.
The patient had one more mild flare of Lichen Planus in April 2022.
Since 2023 onwards, there have been no new lesions, despite the highs and lows in his personal and professional life. He is continuing the treatment for the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks.
Subsequently, in 2024, the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation marks on the body had faded greatly.
