Remarkable Recovery in a Child with Hereditary Autoimmune Background
Master A.C. (Patient ID: 55651), a 10-year-old boy, was suffering from alopecia areata. His parents consulted the Life Force Homeopathy clinic in September 2024 for its management. The condition had been first noticed incidentally during a haircut, which revealed a small bald patch over the left frontal aspect of his scalp. At the time of the initial consultation, Master A.C. had presented with a single, round, non-itchy bald patch approximately the size of 2-3 cm. There had been no signs of redness, dandruff, pain, or scarring, and no associated history of trauma or hair pulling. There were no other patches, and the condition had remained stable since its onset in July 2024. It was clinically categorized as a mild, non-scarring, localized form of alopecia areata.
A detailed family history revealed that his mother had vitiligo, an autoimmune skin disorder, indicating a likely genetic predisposition to autoimmune conditions. Master A.C. also had a history of asthma, dengue, and typhoid, but had otherwise maintained good health.
His thyroid profile was evaluated on 18th November 2024, and all values were found to be within normal limits, ruling out autoimmune thyroid involvement.
Before initiating homeopathic treatment, Master A.C had already been under conventional treatment since July 2024, which included:

Master A.C. lived in a supportive nuclear family with his parents and elder brother. His father worked as a Consultant at a renowned IT company, and his mother was a homemaker. His elder brother was studying in the 11th standard.
He had been delivered normally, and all developmental milestones had occurred on time. He was emotionally secure, well-adjusted, and described as affectionate, intelligent, quick to perceive, and having a sharp memory.
Physically, he followed a mixed diet, with cravings for salt, spicy, and sweet foods, and had an aversion to milk. He had a tendency towards obesity, did not sweat easily, and had a low tolerance to heat. He typically slept on his abdomen and had no urinary or bowel complaints.
After a thorough case evaluation, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed Lycopodium 30 and other homeopathic medicines, aiming to address the underlying autoimmune disposition and support natural hair regrowth.
Follow-ups:
17 November 2024: Initial improvement was reported. Hair regrowth had started in the bald patch on the left frontal scalp. No new patches had appeared.
15 January 2025: The child continued to show good progress, with increased hair density on the affected patch. There was no itching or dandruff. All topical medications were discontinued at this stage.
10 April 2025: Around 60% improvement was observed. The patch had significantly reduced in size, with healthy new hair growth. The child was off conventional medications and continued on homeopathic treatment alone.
26 June 2025: The condition remained stable, with no further reduction in the patch size, but no new patches or symptoms were noted. The child was not on any medication during this period.
04 September 2025: Approximately 80–90% hair regrowth was achieved. The patch was almost completely covered. No new patches had developed, and the child remained symptom-free and drug-free.
Conclusion:
Alopecia Areata, though unpredictable and autoimmune in nature, demonstrated excellent recovery through timely and integrated care. Early intervention with individualized homeopathy led to sustained improvement and complete remission without relapse.
In 1 year of treatment, Master A.C. had achieved almost full recovery, was off all medications, and remained in stable condition.
