Rapidly Spreading Lichen Planus Successfully Treated with Homeopathy at Life Force
Lichen planus comes in the group of chronic autoimmune diseases of the skin and mucous membrane, which leads to inflammation of the skin cells, leading to flat purplish skin lesions, which are itchy and can also cause bleeding after scratching. Immunological factors, stress, certain medications, and trauma may trigger the progression of the disease. Homeopathic treatment seems very effective in this condition, which heals the disease from inside.
Case study on lichen planus:
On July 27, 2022, a 28-year-old man named Mr. S.M. (Patient ID: 48780) came to the Life Force Homeopathy clinic with a presenting complaint of lichen planus, which he had been dealing with for two months when he came to us. He was using steroids, but he stopped taking them a week ago. He presented with purplish-brown patches of papular eruptions that were burning and itching everywhere but the face, scalp, genitalia, and nails. Also, he had white lacy lesions in bilateral internal cheeks without any burning or sensitivity in the oral cavity.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based homeopathic medicines along with some diet and regimen advice to the patient.
Follow-ups:
The complaint had improved by 20–30% overall in the first follow-up, which was conducted in August 2022. The LP eruptions showed positive changes, and there was less itching and better distribution.
His lichen planus was 40% better than at the prior follow-up, but few new lesions were developing outside of the face and scalp during the second follow-up, which was conducted in September 2022. The dryness continued, and also he complained of itching; as per the case need, the medicines were revised.
By the time of the third follow-up on November 22, 2022, the spread had nearly stabilized.
At the follow-up on January 21, 2023, the complaint had decreased by 50% and was stable, although there were a few small active lesions on the right leg. The oral lichen planus was stable and had not spread considerably.
95% of the complaint was addressed at the follow-up on March 18, 2023; most of the lesions had healed, but there were still additional post-LP hyperpigmentation spots. Additionally, the patient''s oral LP lesions had significantly improved, with 90% less burning pain.
He is continuing with life force treatment for further improvement and to prevent relapses in the future.
The patient is grateful to Dr. Shah and the entire Life Force team.
Conclusion:
This case demonstrates the remarkable effectiveness of homeopathy in managing rapidly spreading, chronic lichen planus safely and holistically, without any side effects. The success of the treatment highlights the power of stimulating internal healing rather than relying on external suppression. Homeopathy offered a gentle, non-invasive solution for both skin and mucosal forms of lichen planus (oral LP). Dr. Shah’s individualized, research-driven approach was instrumental in achieving sustained and personalized recovery.
