HOMEMAKER FINDS SOLACE AND RELIEF IN PSORIASIS WITH HOMEOPATHY

Mrs. SD (Patient ID: 49493) visited the Chembur clinic on 12th Oct 2022 with her husband. She read about Life Force on Google and wanted to consult and start homeopathic treatment.

She had palmo-plantar psoriasis since 2021, with severe dark, rough, thickened lesions on the soles and small lesions on the palms. She was on conventional medication Diprovate LA ointment (steroid) for 7 months, but a relapse was noted after stopping it. She had also tried Ayurvedic medicine for a few months.

Her lesions were severe with discharging sticky fluid and also had severe itching and burning pain with cuts and cracks, which were very painful while walking. She was in terrible pain and discomfort when she visited Life Force and wanted to get relief from that. She had difficulty in walking and was not able to do even her daily household chores, she was in much distress and pain, both physically and mentally.

Physical generals:

She was a vegetarian person with a good appetite who enjoyed spicy food and drank an adequate amount of water throughout the day but also had associated complaints of unsatisfactory stools, which required straining. Had a sound sleep with no dreams, but because of her itching and pain, her sleep was disturbed quite often.

She was a housewife and her husband was working with Indian railways and had 2 kids studying in school. Mrs. S.D. was a very calm person who always came with a smile on her face but, on the other hand, was very stressed about the disease and its recurrence, having a family history of diabetes and hypertension.

Dr. Shah prescribed her ANTIM CRUD 30 and also gave dietary recommendations and lifestyle changes for better recovery and a healthy life. She has explained the scope of homeopathy in her case.

Follow-ups:

In the follow-up done on 31st Dec 2022, there was good improvement noted in the lesions on the soles and ankles; the discharge from the lesions was better than before but still had severe itching and dryness.

In the follow-up done on January 2023, there was a flare-up of lesions noted on the soles and lesions were discharging pus-like discharge with severe pain, the patient was not able to walk properly and had to take antibiotics for a few days, and also started developing swelling in the ankle of the right leg.

In the follow-up done in July 2023, the lesions were much better with occasional discharge and pain around them; itching had reduced drastically, and new lesions were not seen.

In the follow-up done on February 24, she was better with the lesion almost healed with minimal itching, pain, and discharge; cuts and cracks were also better.

In subsequent follow-ups, there was persistent improvement noted; however, there were still relapses but with mild severity.

With continued treatment, relapses were minimal, and she was able to manage only with homeopathy.

In the follow-up done in December 2024, the skin of the soles has become smooth and lesions were healed; she is continuing treatment to prevent and minimize recurrences.

Mrs. SD was very happy and satisfied with the relief she has received from homeopathic treatment, which has helped to normalize her painful life, and she is now able to take care of her family and her kids in a better way.

Conclusion:

Homeopathy brings smiles to the faces of people who have wrinkles and frowns of pain due to the disease and the discomfort. Homeopathy is an excellent option in the treatment of chronic and difficult diseases like psoriasis, where conventional medicine suppresses the disease rather than curing it. Homeopathy stabilizes and controls the disease so that the patient lives a better life. Being a skin complaint, it is very distressing and difficult for the patient to accept and live with.
