At 85 Healing Activated and Vitiligo Reversed with Homeopathy
On February 12, 2015, an 85-year-old male patient from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh (Patient ID: 24816), registered online for vitiligo. The patient''''s initial complaint was a hypopigmented patch, also known as vitiligo, on the scrotum since 1971, the ankles for the past ten years, and now the feet, starting at the base of the thumb on the left hand and the right great toe.
Associated complaints: The patient was complaining of constipation and an underactive thyroid and was using a thyroxine supplement.
Physical General: The patient was eating average vegetarian meals and disliked sour foods. His thirst was average and he was ambithermal There were no bowel movement or micturation issues.
Personal history: His wife was a homemaker, and he retired from a higher position in LIC. His younger son was a V.P. at Indus Bank, and his older son worked as a dentist in Jabalpur.
Mental Generals: The patient was self-assured, confident, expressive, easily agitated, accomplished, and straightforward in his decision-making. Occasionally became anxious.
Family History: The patient''''s mother had eczema and hypertension, his sibling had depression, and his father had a pituitary tumor.
Upon examination, a wood lamp revealed some areas of the hands were illuminated, while other areas seemed to be dull and hypopigmented.
Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed the medications based on his extensive knowledge and study, taking into account the presentation of the spread of the hypopigmented patch and the general symptoms.
Follow-ups:
On April 13, 2015, he had his first follow-up, and his status was stable.
At his subsequent follow-up on June 15, 2015, the patient had improved by 10%, albeit the hypopigmented areas appeared dull.
Following subsequent follow-ups on January 16, 2016, the patient''''s patches had improved, and the repigmentation in the hypopigmented areas had been seen by 80%.
On October 27, 2016, new, small dots appeared on the left side of the abdomen, collarbone, and chest. Other areas over the left thumb, scrotum, and toe were steady.
Repigmentation was observed on the right forearm, thumb, and foot on January 25, 2018.
On February 21, 2019, the patient was 80% better; no new spots had appeared; instead, repigmentation had been observed in previously hypopigmented areas.
On March 27, 2020, further repigmentation was observed on the left ankle, but other patches remained constant.
By December 10, 2022, the patient was significantly better; there were no new spots, the existing spot was improving, the right ankle was 80% better, the left thumb base was 50% better, and the scrotum was 60% better.
On December 19, 2024, there were no new spots, the old spots on the hands were better managed, and they were also repigmenting.
His condition has been constant since his last checkup on February 15, 2025; no new spots have appeared, and the old spots are becoming a little dull and are nearly gone.
