A young man found relief from anxiety and restless thoughts through homeopathy
A 34-year-old male (Patient Identification Number: 50001) consulted Life Force Homeopathy, Pimpri branch, on 7th May 2023 for the treatment of Anxiety Disorder. His symptoms had started a week before the consultation. He presented with the following complaints: anxious thoughts about the future, health-related concerns, crowded thoughts, impulsiveness, guilty thoughts, stress, sadness, and increased frequency of urination. He also reported a lack of confidence. He shared that he was previously very social and enjoyed being around people but now avoids social situations as people talk about his illness, which he dislikes. He does not want sympathy from others. He reported feeling stressed due to ongoing complaints and certain family issues. He had not taken any treatment for anxiety.
His mother had passed away two years ago, and his father had suffered a stroke. His father now lives a compromised life. The patient stays away from his father because of his job, which causes him additional stress. He feels guilty about staying away from his father and also for not being able to achieve his career goals.
In December 2022, due to health issues (GERD), he had to take a break from work. This affected his annual increment, and he feels sad and frustrated because of it. He described having crowded thoughts, feeling as though he is racing against time with too many things to accomplish and too little time available. He experiences persistent thoughts about his family, job, and health, which overwhelm him. He often feels that his mind is blocked, leaving him unable to concentrate on anything.
He is currently pursuing an MBA, but due to his ongoing health problems—GERD and anxiety—he is unable to concentrate on his studies. This inability to focus causes him even more distress and frustration.
Physical generals: He was non-vegetarian and drank about 1.5 to 2 liters of water daily. Thermally, he was hot. He had a habit of taking alcohol occasionally, about once in 2–3 months. He also had an addiction to smoking; however, he had stopped after the death of his mother.
Family History: Father is a known case of Diabetes Mellitus, mother had a heart issue and passed away two years ago, and sister suffers from Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)
The case was studied in detail. Based on the totality of symptoms, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed an individualized, constitutionally selected homeopathic remedy.
Follow-Ups:
In his first Follow-up dated 12th June 2023, there was no noticeable improvement at this stage. However, there was no worsening either. He had not taken any conventional medications. Symptoms such as lack of concentration, mood swings, and mental blockage were still present. He described feeling restless due to persistent thoughts and his inability to focus, especially when stressed. As per the case, the medicines were revised.
By 26th August 2023, there was still no significant change in symptoms. Anxious thoughts, health concerns, impulsiveness, guilty feelings, and increased urination persisted. He had not used any conventional medications during this period.
By his third follow-up, which was done on 26th November 2023, his anxious thoughts and impulsiveness had reduced, and there was a noticeable reduction in work-related stress and negative thinking.
On 10th January 2024, the patient’s condition remained stable. Negative thoughts and frequent urination had reduced further. He continued without the use of conventional medications.
In his last follow-up in March 2024, the patient was much better overall. He no longer experienced negative thoughts, and urinary frequency had normalized. He was free from restlessness, and the overcrowding of thoughts had almost completely led to normal life as before. He also reported having sound and restful sleep.
Conclusion:
This case demonstrates that anxiety is highly treatable with the right combination of Life Force Homeopathic medicines and lifestyle modifications. The remedies used were gentle, safe, and highly effective in providing long-term relief. The patient made substantial progress without the need for conventional medications, and his quality of life improved significantly in a relatively short period of time.
