A successful recovery in the case of chronic asthma

A patient named N.S. (Patient ID: 47082) visited Life Force on 1st January 2022 for his complaints of asthma. He had been suffering from asthma since 2014, along with bouts of cold and cough. He also experienced difficulty in breathing due to recurrent colds and coughs. There was a feeling of congestion in the chest. He had been using conventional medicines like the Foracort inhaler once a day or once or twice a week since 2014.

Associated complaints: There were no other complaints present.

Personal history: He was an engineer by profession and was working in a private company.

Mental generals: He was a naturally short-tempered and irritable person.

At Life Force –After a thorough case evaluation, Dr. Rajesh Shah devised a comprehensive treatment plan. He advised the patient on necessary dietary modifications and prescribed supplements to support his health. He was also advised to do a few blood investigations to check the status of his general health. After analysis, he was prescribed two months of homeopathic medicines initially.

Follow-ups:

In the first follow-up, conducted on 5th February 2022, the patient reported experiencing 5–6 episodes of cough and cold up to that point. There was breathlessness due to a cold and cough, which lasted until he took the Foracort inhaler, which he had taken 7–8 times. On 1st March 2023, the patient gave feedback that there was no breathlessness. Occasionally, a cough with expectoration was present in the morning, and sneezing occurred daily, but at times, 3–4 bouts in the morning, which had reduced from before. In the next follow-up, which was taken on 15th July 2023, there were no major episodes in the last two months, but he had experienced a mild episode of cold and cough when there was a change of season, which was managed by taking antibiotics for three days. In the next follow-up, which was taken on 19th March 2024, the patient gave feedback that he was better overall. There was a cough with expectoration for 1–2 days a month, and breathlessness had reduced. No conventional treatment was required. Dr. Shah prescribed him medicines for the next two months.

In the next follow-up, which was taken on 21st September 2024, the patient mentioned that there had been an episode of viral cold and cough 15 days back, so he had taken an inhaler for two days and was overall better. According to his feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed him medicines for the next two months.

On 25th February 2025, the patient informed that he was overall doing well. He had a cold and cough for two days due to weather changes, with nasal blockage, coryza, and mild breathlessness. He had used the Foracort inhaler once the previous day. On the basis of this information, Dr. Shah prescribed him medicines for the next two months.

In the last follow-up, which was taken on 17th September 2025, the patient mentioned overall improvement. There had been no episodes of asthma, cold, or cough for 5–6 months. The patient had not used any inhaler for 5–6 months. On the basis of this information, Dr. Shah prescribed him medicines for the next two months.

Conclusion:

The case demonstrated the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines in managing chronic asthma. The patient experienced a significant reduction in the frequency and intensity of asthma attacks, along with improved overall respiratory function and general well-being.
