A Supervisor\'s Journey to Conquering Gout

Mr. T.A., a 32-year-old male working as a supervisor in a jewelry shop manufacturing at Masjid where he needs constant walking, was troubled with Gout for 1 year and visited the Life Force Homeopathy Thane branch (Patient ID: 54713). He experienced needle-pricking pain in the left heel and the right heel, with swelling in the left ankle. The stiffness of the ankle lasted for half an hour in the morning. The first movement was difficult, and he experienced pain by applying pressure. The intensity of the pain was progressive in the right heel for around 25 days when he saw us; he was facing difficulty in walking. The rest and heat application reduced the pain. Beginning in 2023, he experienced gout attacks at least four times a year for 15 to 20 days at a time with medication. Most of the time, it was triggered by eating red meat.

Drug dependency: He was on  Tab zerodol cr 200 1tab OD, Tab Deflor 6 mg (corticosteroid) 1tab BD for 10 days, Tab sourpraz 40 1 tab BD, and Tab.Fibater 20 mg 1 tab OD

Family History: His mother had  gout

Detailed Case Taking: This involves a comprehensive interview with the patient to gather information about their medical history. Based on the case assessment and individualized evaluation, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed homeopathic remedies. The homeopathic remedy Lycopodium clavatum 30 was selected. In addition to homeopathic remedies, the patient was advised on lifestyle and dietary changes, and blood investigations were suggested. The patient''''s condition was regularly monitored, and his progress was documented.

Follow up:

Follow-up on 13/08/24: The pain in both heels improved by 20%. The swelling in the left ankle had reduced. He had stopped conventional medicines.

Follow-up on 24/09/24: Further improvement in pain was noted; there was relief for both heels and the left ankle. Recently, there has been pain in the right ankle, likely due to overexertion at work. No conventional medication was taken. His serum uric acid on 20/04/24 was 4.9 mg/dL (high).

Follow-up on 20/11/24: Pain in both heels and left ankle was less, with no swelling. Serum uric acid on 29/09/24 was 8.13 mg/dL (high).

Follow up on 08/01/25: Improvement of about 60% was noted. The pain in the left ankle was significantly reduced, with no swelling.

Follow-up on 14/02/25: Further improvement was seen; he was 70% better. The pain and swelling in the left ankle due to overexertion had also decreased. Serum uric acid had reduced on 12/02/25. Serum uric acid was 6.1 mg/dL.

He is continuing with treatment for further improvement.

Conclusion:

This case illustrates how the homeopathic treatment was successful in controlling and lowering the raised blood uric acid levels, suggesting that it has a thorough, all-encompassing approach to lowering high uric acid levels as well as discomfort and swelling. The patient''s distress gradually subsided, allowing him to return to his normal life and stop using allopathic medications.
