A Soldier Battling Rheumatoid Arthritis Since Childhood Finds Relief with Homeopathy
A 30-year-old male patient named A.D. (Patient ID: 28990) from Delhi visited the Life Force clinic with his father on 25th April 2018.
He had been suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis for many months before visiting. There was a history of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 5 years, and steroid treatment was taken for it. When he saw us for the first time, he had had pain, swelling, & restriction of movements in his left ankle, back, and both knees for a few months. He had taken Tab Methotrexate 2.5 mg, 2 tablets per week, for more than 1 year in 2001. He also took Tab Prednisolone three times a day for 1 month in 2000 & Inj. DM (anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid) once a week and then further gradually tapered till 2001. Despite taking all these medicines, he still complained of pain & other complaints.
Associated disease:
He was also suffering from lichen planus, sinusitis & corns. He was receiving treatment for this ailment from Life Force Homeopathy.
Family history:
There was no positive family history of rheumatoid arthritis. But his mother was suffering from diabetes & cancer.
Past history:
History of Tuberculous arthritis; had taken ATT for 1 year in 2000.
Personal details:
He did his engineering but then joined the army. His childhood was a little difficult, as his father was strict, but he was obedient.
The consultation at Life Force involved a detailed case analysis by Dr. Rajesh Shah. Along with homeopathic medicines, certain dietary changes were advised to support his treatment. Dr. Shah initially prescribed homeopathic medicines for two months.
Follow-ups:
In the first follow-up, taken on 30th Nov 2018, there was much improvement. His swelling & restriction of movement were much better, but the patient had a large gap in medicines and complained of acute pain in his knee and left ankle for a few days. After analyzing his case in detail, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.
On 4th July 2019, he reported that his ankle joint pain was further improving and that the intensity of the pain had reduced. There was no swelling present. Based on his feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed him medicines for another two months.
Again on 08th Nov 19, he reported that his pain was better & he was improving further. After analyzing it closely, further medicines were decided.
The next follow-up was taken on 24th April 2020 & he was very happy regarding his pain. There was much improvement overall & he wasn''t experiencing any pain.
The next follow-up was given on 25th Dec 2020, & he complained of pain in knee joints daily while walking or driving for 1 month. These complaints started when the winter season started. So, looking in-depth, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed him medicines for two months.
Later on 29th March 2022, we received feedback that all his complaints were better & there were no episodes of pain experienced by him.
In multiple follow-ups, the patient was overall better, & Homeopathic medicines helped him a lot.
Recently, on 15th April 2025, he was again given his follow-up, and no episodes of pain were present. And the patient was doing well.
Conclusion:
Successful management of rheumatoid arthritis in this case through homeopathic treatment over 5–6 years highlights the potential of individualized, holistic approaches in chronic autoimmune conditions. The patient''s sustained improvement in symptoms, enhanced quality of life, and reduced reliance on conventional medications suggest that homeopathy can offer a viable complementary or alternative option for long-term management of Rheumatoid arthritis.
