A Silent Flame Under the Skin: Reversing Chronic Lichen Planus Without Steroids

Mrs.K.V.(Patient ID: 50882), a 35 year old IT professional, suffering since September 2022 with Lichen planus consulted our Life Force Pimpri branch through teleconsultation in March 2023.
During first consultation she presented with classic symptoms of Lichen Planus, including multiple purplish, flat-topped, itchy skin lesions affecting the bilateral arms, legs, thighs, lower back, and abdomen. The condition was marked by intense itching, minimal burning, and no signs of discharge or bleeding. The lesions were symmetrically distributed and gradually progressing, yet remained mild to moderate in severity. She began Ayurvedic treatment in October 2022 and showed no major improvement.

There was no personal or family history of autoimmune disorders. No skin biopsy was performed. The patient had no systemic involvement and was not on any allopathic or immunosuppressive medications. Aggravation of symptoms was observed during winter, with scratching, and use of hot water, while symptomatic relief was reported with cold showers and skin moisturization.

The patient followed a mixed diet, had a small appetite at frequent intervals, craved spicy food and fruits, and had an aversion to milk. She drank 1–1.5 liters of water daily, experienced difficulty sweating, and described herself as ambithermal. She reported sound sleep, with a preference for sleeping on her right side or abdomen. There were no complaints regarding bowel, urinary, or menstrual functions.

Psychologically, she was well-balanced sober, confident, expressive, and affectionate, though with occasional irritability. Her personal life was described as happy, emotionally secure, and well-supported, with a harmonious marital relationship and job satisfaction. She lived a stable life with her husband (an IT team lead) and their son.

09 Aug 2025: No active lesions. Only post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation remains. No symptoms present.

20 Sep 2025: Overall 85-90% improvement. No new or active lesions. Pigmentation continuing to fade.

Mrs.K.V. is currently in a stable and symptom-free state, having shown sustained remission since February 2024. She reports no itching, burning, or new  lesions. The only residual issue remains post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, primarily over the back and feet, which continues to fade. She remains off all allopathic or immunosuppressive medications and continues her Ayurvedic regimen with good compliance and no adverse effects.

Conclusion:

This case of chronic Lichen Planus highlights a significant and sustained recovery with Life Force Homeopathy, lifestyle adjustments, and consistent monitoring. Despite the autoimmune nature of the condition, the patient achieved long-term remission without the use of corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or topical allopathy, and without any systemic side effects.
