A Manager of Renowned Company Finds relief in GERD
A 34-year-old male, Mr. P.M. (Patient ID: 54987), visited the Life Force Homeopathy Pimpri branch and began treatment for GERD on July 9, 2024. He has been suffering from this condition since 2021.
Presenting Complaint: During his first visit, Mr. P.M. complained of reflux and regurgitation, especially after eating, along with heartburn, throat irritation, and a dry cough after dinner. He also experienced occasional headaches during episodes. On some occasions, he had chest pain and pain between both shoulder blades. He had 2-3 mild to moderate episodes daily, each lasting from 30 minutes to 1 hour. During moderate episodes, he required Omez-DSR or Eno SOS for relief.
Diet and Lifestyle: Mr. P.M. followed a mixed diet with an irregular eating pattern. He enjoyed sweet, salty, and spicy foods and consumed alcohol occasionally. His daily water intake was 1.5–2 liters. He had no urinary complaints, but his bowel movements were unsatisfactory; he passed stool on alternate days, and the stools were hard in consistency. He couldn’t tolerate hot weather and had scanty perspiration. His sleep cycle was regular, and he preferred to sleep on his right side or abdomen.
Mr. P.M. worked as a manager at a renowned company, which led to some stress, though he found it manageable. He lived with his wife and 5-year-old son and was away from his hometown due to work.
Family History: His father had hypertension, but there were no other significant family health issues. Mr. PM had only experienced a COVID-19 infection in 2020.
Mental and Emotional Health: On the mental plane, Mr. P.M. was confident, expressive, and ambitious, with a strong desire to achieve many things in life. At times, he experienced restlessness but was otherwise a family-oriented person focused on growth. He had a supportive and close relationship with his parents during childhood and adolescence, and his relationship with his wife and family remained strong.
Treatment and Progress: After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Shah prescribed Lycopodium clavatum.
Mr. PM was also advised to adopt a healthier diet and exercise regimen due to his obesity and sedentary lifestyle.
Based on investigations conducted on April 10, 2024, Vitamin D3 supplements were prescribed.
Follow-ups:
First Follow-up (August 22, 2024): Mr. P.M. reported a 50-60% overall improvement. The frequency of episodes had significantly reduced, and when episodes did occur, they were milder in intensity, lasting only 15-20 minutes after eating. He also noted a reduction in constipation.
Second Follow-up (October 9, 2024): The patient''s symptoms remained stable. He experienced episodes of heartburn and regurgitation only after eating late at night or following disturbed sleep. His anxiety related to his condition had reduced significantly, and he had discontinued conventional treatment after starting the Life Force treatment and lifestyle changes.
Third Follow-up (December 12, 2024): Initially, his complaints remained stable after starting the third batch of medicines. However, 12 days prior to this follow-up, heartburn, regurgitation, headache, and bloating gradually worsened and lasted for about a week. This flare-up followed the discontinuation of treatment and the consumption of oily and fried food. After restarting Life Force treatment, his symptoms became stable again. He had not resumed conventional treatment.
Last Follow-up (February 4, 2025): Mr. P.M. reported an overall 70-75% improvement. He had not experienced any episodes of heartburn, regurgitation, bloating, headache, or throat irritation in the past 2 months. Additionally, he had no issues with hard stools or ineffectual urges for the past 6 months. He had completely stopped conventional treatment 8 months ago and had not needed it since.
Mr. P.M. is continuing his treatment as his symptoms were chronic, but he is now 70-75% better.
Conclusion:
Mr. P.M.’s progress and the discontinuation of conventional treatment indicate that the correct prescribed homeopathic treatment, along with lifestyle modifications and dietary changes, has been effective in managing his GERD. His symptoms have improved by 70–75%, and he has experienced no side effects, demonstrating the success of this holistic approach.
