A Botany Professor from Kolkata Finds Relief in Her LPP

A botany professor, Mrs. UC (Patient ID: 50695) from Kolkata, came in contact with Life Force through online sources as she was searching for a proper treatment for her hyperpigmentation of the skin of her face and neck, diagnosed as Lichen Planus Pigmentosa (LPP). She was suffering from hyperpigmentation on her face on her cheeks, forehead, and also the neck region, accompanied by dryness and mild itching.

 Lichen planus pigmentosus:

  • Characterized by ill-defined oval, greyish brown marks on the face and neck or trunk and limbs without an inflammatory phase.
  • It is a form of acquired dermal macular hyperpigmentation.
  • Can be provoked by sun exposure, but it can also arise in sun-protected sites such as the armpits.

She had a relapse of hyperpigmentation, which she had a few years ago, but this time it was more severe and widespread than the first occurrence.

She had started with conventional medication for a few days but stopped it as she developed the negative effects of those medicines.

Professor and a researcher by profession, she was finding it difficult to face people and be confident in delivering her lectures. She started becoming conscious about her look and the way she presented herself and tried to hide the pigmentation cosmetically. Then, when one day searching for reliable and trustworthy treatment options, she came to know about Dr. Shah and Life Force homeopathy online.

She consulted and visited the Chembur clinic right away from another corner of the country to start homeopathic treatment.

Personal details:

She is a very humble, happy-go-lucky person with a smile on her face.

Along with the LPP, she also has diabetes mellitus and hypertension, for which she was under conventional medication, and both were stable.

Mrs. UC was a nonvegetarian person who loved meat and eggs and consumed less water but perspired a lot even after slight exertion and had a sound sleep. She had a very happy and contented childhood, with most of her happy memories except a few. Being younger in her family, her relationship with her parents was very good, and she was pampered by all the family members.

She had a family history of cancer and hyperthyroidism; her sister suffered from LPP, and her mother suffered from Alzheimer''s and paralysis.

A thorough examination was done of her hyperpigmented patches, and also her vitals were checked. She was then explained in detail about the scope of homeopathy in LPP, that it can be controlled and cure is not possible as it is an autoimmune condition, and we shall try to fade the pigmentation as much as possible.

She then met Dr. Shah, and after analyses of her case and examining her skin, she was prescribed SEPIA 30. Certain changes were recommended to be made to maintain her blood pressure and blood sugar and also reduce her weight as she appeared to be obese.

She gave all her follow-ups on call and through PSS (patient support system) further.

Follow-ups:

In the first follow-up done on 5.4.2023, there was no change noted in the hyperpigmentation after comparing the photos sent by her as well as talking to her on call.

In the follow-up done after 2 months on 5.6.2023, no improvement or lightening was noted in hyperpigmentation, but at least new areas were not affected and the disease had become stable.

In the coming follow-up done on 1.8.2023, there was a 20% improvement in the hyperpigmentation on the cheeks and neck, but the area on the forehead was stable and no lightning was noted.

In the coming follow-up done in the coming months, there was intermittent lightening noted in the neck and face and the spread had already stopped.

In the follow-up taken on 11.9.24, he said she was 50-60% better with significant fading up of the hyperpigmentation on the face and neck.

In the follow-up done in June 2025, she visited the clinic for the follow-up as she wanted to personally thank Dr. Shah for the healing of her skin and for helping her regain her confidence and skin color.

She is continuing the treatment for better recovery and prevention of recurrence.

Conclusion:

This case illustrates how homeopathy can safely slow down the disease progression in auto-immune conditions and help stabilize and fade hyperpigmentation without causing any negative side effects.
