Introduction
A middle-aged female patient had been consulting for recurrent migraine headaches for the last 3 to 4 years. The headaches were episodic and mainly affected the left side more than the right side. During severe episodes, the patient used to get nausea and sometimes vomiting. Noise and strong smell would increase the headache considerably, and during attacks, she was unable to tolerate routine surrounding activity.
Initially, she was dependent on conventional medicines whenever the episodes increased. Later, she started homeopathic treatment under the guidance of Dr. Rajesh Shah, MD (Homeopathy), and gradually started noticing changes in migraine frequency and intensity.
This case highlights the role of individualized homeopathic treatment in migraine management. It may help selected patients reduce the frequency and severity of recurring migraine attacks under qualified medical supervision.

Sleep was sound but, at times, disturbed. Occasionally, she used to walk during sleep. Dreams were mainly of wandering from one place to another or suddenly falling from a height, after which she would wake up frightened.
Such general history is important in Homeopathic treatment for Headache, as homeopathy considers the patient’s physical generalities, sensitivity, sleep, digestion, thermal state, and associated complaints before selecting a suitable homeopathic medicine for migraine.
Personal and Emotional Background
The patient was a homemaker. Her son was doing a game design course, and her daughter was working in a bank. Her husband had retired from a chemical factory.
Her childhood was emotionally difficult. She had stayed at her uncle’s house for many years because her parents were unable to keep her with them. According to her, she never received proper motherly affection during childhood and always felt lonely. There was also a financial burden on the family at a younger age.
The patient was mild, gentle, shy, and non-communicative by nature. She usually kept her emotions within herself and did not express much openly.
She also mentioned emotional suffering after marriage. Her husband was very strict and had an angry nature. She said he used to shout frequently and sometimes even hit her if things did not happen according to him. Even now, she carried fear that her husband might suddenly shout at her.
Overall, her personality appeared disappointed and grief-stricken internally, although she spoke calmly during the consultation.
In this case, emotional stress, grief, fear, and suppression of emotions were considered along with her migraine symptoms. This helped in understanding the complete case before planning individualized Migraine treatment.
