A 62-year-old male patient (PIN: 48833) approached Life Force Homeopathy, Aundh Branch on 2nd August 2022 for the treatment of his complaints of arthritis that he was suffering from for the last 9 months post chikungunya infection.
His main presenting symptoms were dull aching pain with discomfort in toes, fingers, soles, and knees. The patient had to get up with support from the sitting posture.
His history of ailments, past treatment, and current treatment history was asked about and updated.
His family history was also asked about and updated.
A detailed case history was taken considering both his physical and mental generals.
Physical Generals:
He was a pure vegetarian and had an average appetite. He had craving for sweets. He had an average thirst and drank about 2-3 liters of water daily. He had average perspiration and was not tolerant of the hot weather. His bowel movements were satisfactory, and he had no urinary symptoms.
The patient enjoyed a sound sleep and preferred lying on the back.
Psychological Make-Up:
The patient had a very happy childhood with a supportive family. Later, he had a satisfactory married life and was well-settled in life. He was strict and used to turn angry for not following his instructions. He had a small friend circle and liked their company.
He did not know how to swim; so, he was afraid of water bodies. He liked reading newspapers and creating things from waste.
His general and systemic examination was done and updated in the case file.

Follow-Ups:
First Followup
At the first follow-up on 14th September 2022, the patient was 10% to 20% better. The pain in his fingers and toes had reduced though the knee pain persisted.
Second Followup
On 2nd November 2022, the patient was 75% better. He had only mild pain in his knees.
Third Followup
On the follow-up on 19th December 2022, the patient was 90% better. He had only a slight pain in the knees while moving. Rest all joints were completely better.
