Mrs. S.D., a fifty-seven-year-old female, along with her son, visited Thane Clinic on 11 Jun 2023 (Patient ID: 51720). She has been suffering from osteoarthritis for 10 years. She had pain in both her wrist and back and took homeopathic medication from Rajasthan last year for 5 months. The nature of pain was dull aching in the lumbar region daily on sitting in one position for 20-30 minutes for 2 years. The pain lasted for 3 to 4 hours. The pain was more when sitting in one position, walking, and standing, with mild swelling over both wrist joints. She also mentioned numbness in both wrists when kept continuously in one position. She was not able to cross her legs and was unable to fold her legs due to pain in her back and stiffness in her joints.
She has also been taking supplements for one year. Tab Neutrolin -B, 1 tab OD, and capsule D-rise 60 k as per dose took four months.
Associate disease:
Obesity since 10 years, weighed around 99.4 kg. Diabetes was diagnosed before 3 months, was not on any medication, Hypertension Since 1 year was taking Tab. Aldactone 25 MG 1 OD (spironolactone-diuretics) and Tab. Newtel AM 1 OD (telmisartan-amlodipin-antihypertensive)
Physical & mental generals:
Large-frame body, obese with pale nails. The tongue was dry and cracked.
She was mild, gentle, expressive, helping nature, and communicative.
Past history:
Was operated for right mandibular cyst
Family history:
Father was diabetic
On examination:
Swelling on both lower limbs.
At Life Force Homeopathy, a detailed case was taken, and Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed medication after studying the case. A blood investigation
was done, and certain diet and lifestyle changes were advised. Subsequent follow-ups were taken regularly.
Follow-ups:
First Followup
By 26th July 2023, there was mild improvement in the intensity of pain in the wrist. No significant changes were reported in swelling or numbness.
Overall, the condition was stable, with wrist issues being the primary concern.
Second Followup
In September 2023, the swelling on both wrists persisted with increased pain, especially in the back when rising from a sitting position and while lying/sitting to standing.
Third Followup
By January 14, 2024, the improvement was evident in terms of both intensity and frequency of pain. There was reduced stiffness and back pain. No joint swelling was reported. Overall improvement was seen, with a significant decrease in pain levels.
Fourth Followup
When the patient reported in May 2024, the lower back pain from sitting for prolonged periods was reduced. There was no pain while walking.
And had minimal discomfort during daily activities.
Fifth Followup
By 10th January 2025, the complaints reduced significantly, with no pain in the back and knee while walking. Swelling and numbness were absent. Excellent progress was seen with further reduction in pain and discomfort.
