A 46-year-old woman, Mrs. L.K (Patient ID: 45976), visited Life Force Homeopathy’s Malleswaram clinic on 7th August 2021 for the treatment of Oral Lichen Planus (OLP), which she had been suffering from since 2019. Her lesions affected the inner cheeks and tongue, causing significant burning and pain. She had no skin involvement. Her medical history included hypothyroidism, hypertension, gastritis, and diabetes mellitus. She also exhibited emotional sensitivity, irritability, and disturbed sleep. Case History

46-year-old Mrs. L.K (Patient ID: 45976) visited the Malleswaram clinic of Life Force on 7th August 2021, for her complaint of Oral Lichen Planus.

She has been suffering from oral lichen planus for the past three years, i.e., since 2019. The lesions were present on the inner side of both her cheeks and on her tongue. She was suffering from pain and a burning sensation in her mouth. The lichen planus was limited only to the oral cavity no skin lichen planus lesions were present.

She had other associated diseases, namely an underactive thyroid, hypertension, gastritis, and diabetes mellitus.

The patient’s appetite was normal. She had cravings for fish and an aversion to sour items. Her thirst for water was average. The patient had no issues related to urination and stool. Her sleep was disturbed. The patient’s thermal tolerance to cold was good.

The patient is a housewife. Her two daughters are working in an IT firm. Her dominant emotional trait was getting angry easily. The patient is very mild, loquacious, and sensitive.

In her family, both her father and mother were diabetic.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips that were adviced to the patient.

Follow-Ups:
First Followup

On 8th October 2021, the patient reported that there was a 40% improvement with the homeopathic medicines. The intensity of the burning sensation was reduced. The spread of the disease was reduced. Her old white patches had reduced, and no new spots had developed. She was not using any other medicine than homeopathy. Overall, there was a major difference noticed with the 1st batch of homeopathic medicines.

Second Followup

On 31st January 2022, the patient reported being further better with the medicines. The burning discomfort was minimal now. Her lesions had reduced in size. Overall, there was a great difference in her condition and well-being with our homeopathic medicines.

Fourth Followup

On 3rd April 2022, the patient reported being 95% better with the medicines. Her burning discomfort and pain were no longer present. Hyperpigmented spots were fading gradually. Her recovery from oral lichen planus was overall improved with the medicines. She was perfectly fine and could now eat hot and spicy food.

The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her and improving her health. She is still under our homeopathic treatment to achieve complete recovery from her ailment.
