She was suffering from severe Ulcerative Colitis (UC) since past 8-9 years. She had to pass stools 5-6 times in a day.
She complained of passing mucus and blood along with stool. She suffered from severe cramping abdominal pain. She had lost considerable amount of weight due to UC and she complained of weakness. She had bloated sensation of the abdomen.
She was taking Vegaz OD and Entafoam (steriod) once daily and homeopathic treatment from a local physician.
Her appetite had reduced and she liked sweets and non veg food. She disliked sour food. She used to drink 500 ml water daily which is very less. Her sleep, menses, sweat, urination was normal.
Her family consisted of her husband and a daughter. She was a home maker. She had cordial relations with family members.
She was very anxious and irritable by nature. She had anticipatory anxiety and due to her health she had become irritable.
She had suffered from Jaundice 6 years back. Her grandparents had history of Diabetes mellitus.
Her colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy showed mild to moderate Ulcerative colitis.

She reported on 18th of June via telephone. She reported that she was 50% better. Now her frequency to pass stool had reduced from 5-6 to 2-3 per day. There was no mucus or blood along with stool. Pain in her abdomen had reduced and she had stopped T. Entafoam (steroid).
On 11th of August 2011 her complaints relapsed as she ate outside non veg food due to which she got mild infection of stomach. According to case requirement Dr. Shah enhanced the dose of medicines.
She reported again on 22nd September 2011 and 5th January 2012. Her case was improving gradually. Her improvement had accelerated by up to 50%. Now the frequency of stools had reduced significantly. There was no mucus or blood in stools.The stools were well formed.
On 12th December when patient reported she as glad that since past 4 months there had been no relapse. Her appetite had improved and there was no pain in her abdomen. She had no mucus or blood passing along with stool. She passed motions 1-2 times daily. She had improved more than 80%. The stools were well formed.
