A 16-year-old male child came to Life Force homeopathy on 3rd August 2024) with complaints of ulcerative colitis for 1 year. The presenting symptoms were blood in the stool, pain in the abdomen, and a weight loss of 8 kg in a year. The frequency of episodes was 5 episodes/month. The complaints started after the 10th board exam was announced. When we talked with his mother about the same, she said he was very anxious about exams. He was scared of failing the exam. The trigger factors were Chinese food. Also, the patient's father was suffering from chronic constipation. The patient was taking steroidal medicines before starting treatment with homeopathy at Life Force.

While asking about the patient''s nature, the mother said he is always very nervous. The little things make him irritable. He is scared of exams. And the patient also suffers from anticipatory fear. When asked for any example, his mother shared that, once he was rehearsing for asking a question in the classroom, his heart was pounding and his palms were sweaty. When asked about what happened, he said, "What if everyone thinks I''''''m dumb?" "They will laugh at me.".

Follow-ups:
A patient reports on 22nd May 2024. In the first follow-up itself, the patient started feeling better, up to 40–50%. The frequency of complaints was reduced appreciably. The stomachache was better. The patient started feeling better. His steroidal medicines were also reduced by an allopathic physician.
In subsequent follow-ups, the patient showed continued progress. In a recent follow-up dated January 25, 2025, the patient mentioned that he recovered about 80–90%. The last episode was in December 2024. Since then, there have been no episodes. A further reduction in steroidal dosage was done. The patient''s mother mentioned that his overall confidence level has also improved.
Conclusion:
The patient with steroid-masked ulcerative colitis showed significant improvement with homeopathic treatment, allowing steroids to be tapered and eventually stopped successfully. Symptoms gradually subsided, bowel health was restored, and overall well-being improved.
