A 38-year-old restaurant manager (Patient ID: 54913) consulted Life Force Homeopathy, Chembur, on 2 July 2024 for Grade II hemorrhoids and chronic constipation lasting two years. His symptoms included rectal bleeding, pain and burning during bowel movements, anal protrusion, bloating, and incomplete evacuation. Understanding Hemorrhoids (Piles)

Hemorrhoids or Piles are swollen veins in the lower region of the rectum or around the anus. These can occur due to chronic straining, constipation, and/or chronic sitting. Repeated and chronic straining can also lead to it.

There are Two Types of Hemorrhoids:

Internal Hemorrhoids occur in the rectum. These can be painless and sometimes cause bleeding. Grade II Hemorrhoids occur when the tissue protruding during bowel movement goes back in on its own.

External hemorrhoids develop under the skin near the anus. They often cause discomfort and pain, especially if a clot forms in the affected area.

Bleeding from the rectum, lump or swelling near the anus, pain, irritation and a feeling of incomplete evacuation of the bowels are some symptoms of hemorrhoids.

What Mr. B.K.M. Experienced before his homeopathy treatment:

When he first came in, constipation was just one of the many problems he was facing. He had also noticed fresh blood in his stool and had a burning sensation and pain while passing motions.

His major complaints included:

• Fresh blood in his stool for the last 2-3 days.
• Burning and pain while passing motions.

His Health and Lifestyle Background

In addition to his immediate concerns, the doctors took time to understand his lifestyle, habits and health history to get a better picture of his condition.

He had chapatti, rice and veggies for his main meals and non-veg food once a week. He had been drinking 250 ml of alcohol daily for the past two years but had stopped 5 days before coming for this consultation. He had been using tobacco for the last 15 years.

He had tuberculosis in the past and was recently diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.

He was reported to use aluminum vessels frequently and was advised to avoid using them, as a precaution, though the case records do not establish a causal relationship between the vessels and hemorrhoids. Follow-up Progress for Mr B.K.M:

His Condition at the Final Follow-Up

At his last documented follow-up (30 April 2025), Mr. B.K.M. reported 80-90% improvement. Many of the symptoms that first brought him to Life Force Homeopathy have improved:

• There was no bleeding with his bowel movements.
• He had no pain or burning with bowel movements.
• He had normal bowel movements and was no longer constipated.
• He was passing soft stools.
• He was no longer bloated.
• A small amount of swelling or protrusion remained around the anal region.

Considering Mr. B.K.M. had been having frequent painful, difficult bowel movements and had been constipated for over 2 years, this swelling and protrusion had been greatly improved.

Although there was a big improvement, the mild swelling that remained showed that some bowel protrusion and swelling was still there, and it was important for Mr. B.K.M. to continue to pay attention to and manage his bowel habits and come in for follow up care.
