She had episodes of chalazion in the past and had got it operated twice in 1999 and April 2011. She had chalazion in both the upper eyelids when she came for consultation. She experienced irritation and heaviness in the eyes as well as mild itching.
She was also suffering from dry eyes since 8 months. She would have sticky discharge and swelling of the eyelids. It was associated with mild pain in the eyes. She was very jovial, expressive and impatient, friendly by nature. She would never suppress her emotions. While inquiring about her family history she revealed her father suffered from diabetes myelitis, hodgkin’s lymphoma, kidney disease. Mother had hypertension. Maternal grandmother had asthma.
