From Distress to Control: Urinary Incontinence in a 34-Year-Old Male
A 34-year-old stout and well-built male, Mr. S.R.R. (PIN: 16975), reported to the center with complaints of urinary incontinence persisting for the past seven years. He experienced involuntary dribbling of urine approximately 2–3 times every hour on a daily basis. Additionally, a few drops of urine would continue to dribble even after completion of urination. His complaints were notably aggravated during the rainy season. The condition was a source of significant embarrassment and discomfort for the patient, affecting his hygiene and quality of life. Prior to consulting us, he had been thoroughly evaluated by a urologist. Investigations including sonography and PSA levels were within normal limits. Despite various treatments, he did not experience any lasting relief. The patient consulted Dr. Rajesh Shah on 12th September 2011. Professionally, he worked as a gym instructor. His personal history revealed that he had been short-tempered in the past but had become considerably calmer over time. He had married late due to financial constraints and lived with his wife and daughter. On general examination, he was found to be stout and well-built, with a good tolerance to heat. His food preferences included a liking for meat, with an aversion to sweets and milk. He also reported generalized perspiration. Based on a detailed case evaluation and constitutional assessment, Dr. Shah prescribed Causticum 30C. The response to treatment was exceptional. Within six weeks, the patient reported significant relief. By follow-up, there was approximately 90% improvement in his urinary complaints. By 11th November 2011, his condition had improved by nearly 95%. He was advised to continue the treatment for an additional 4–6 months to ensure sustained recovery. This case once again highlights the profound and consistent results achievable with well-indicated homeopathic remedies such as Causticum, especially in chronic and distressing conditions like urinary incontinence.
