An 8-year-old boy, Mr. V.Z. (PIN: 29150) visited the Pune branch of Life Force Homeopathy on 2nd July 2016 for getting treated for the white spots on his left index finger. His spots where earlier pink in color, but now they had turned white. His complaint had started bothering him suddenly two months back.
On the examination with Wood's Lamp, a small pinpoint spot was visible on the left thumb. He was applying steroid creams and was not experiencing any other complaints. There was no genetic link present.
He was a non-vegetarian and used to crave for spicy food, particularly for eggs & chicken. He had an aversion to fruits. He was experiencing perspiration on his forehead.
He was hyperactive at home, but he used to be shy in new places or with strangers. He had a lot of anger, and he would cry a lot. He did not like mentioning about his disease. He used to brood if the things may not work as per his wish. He was very egoistic and possessive. And, he had a fear of darkness & teacher.
After a detailed case study and analysis, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based medicine to the patient for vitiligo. He was advised diet and regimen too. He was told to avoid sour foods.
First follow up
When he gave a follow-up on 30th August 2016, he had observed 1%-2 % improvement in his condition. No new spot had developed. And, re-pigmentation was observed.
Second follow up
On 3rd October 2016, the recovery from the lesion showed further improvement. Re-pigmentation was observed. So, the patient was advised to taper the application of steroid Creams.
Third follow up
On 15th November 2016, the existing spot showed regimentation as well as spread. One new spot on left middle finger distal MCJ (mucocutaneous junction) had developed below the nail.
Fourth follow up
On 26th December 2016, the existing spots of the patient showed regimentation. No new spot had developed.
Fifth follow up
On 16th March 2017, the patient told that he had stopped all allopathic medicine since January 2017. Re-pigmentation was further better than last time. A new spot of fungal infection had developed on his right temple.
Sixth follow up
On 5th October 2017, the recovery from the existing spot showed 50%-55% improvement. No new spot had developed.
Seventh follow up
On 26th November 2017, the recovery from the existing spot showed 60% improvement. No new spot had developed.
Eighth follow up
On 17th March 2018, the recovery from the existing spot showed 60% improvement. No new spot had developed.
Nineth follow up
On 13th May 2018, fungal infection on his right temple was totally cured. His vitiligo spot was subcutaneous.
Tenth follow up
On 29th October 2018, the recovery from the existing spot showed 65% improvement. No new spot had developed.
Eleventh follow up
On 27th December 2018, the recovery from the existing spot showed 70% improvement. No new spot had developed
The patient is happy and satisfied with the treatment which he received at Life Force and is continuing it for further recovery.
Conclusion:
This case shows how homeopathy helps in the better management of lesions present on the fingers below the nail which are very challenging to treat, as they are located on mucocutaneous junctions. Homeopathy is highly effective in treating vitiligo incredibly and safely without any side-effects.
