Medical Student Achieves Remarkable Relief from Palmoplantar Psoriasis with Homeopathy

Case of a 21-year-old medical student suffering from palmoplantar psoriasis for 1.5 years, with dryness and scaling on palms and soles and no itching. Despite prior Ayurvedic treatment, symptoms relapsed. A 21-year-old male (PIN: 34169) consulted Life Force for the treatment of his complaints of Psoriasis. He was suffering from Palmoplantar psoriasis. In this variety, only the palms and soles of the patient get affected with Psoriasis. There are no patches on any other parts of his body. He was suffering from it for 1.5 years. Also, no itching was present. Dryness and scaling were present only on his palms and soles. He had taken Ayurvedic medicines in the past and had experienced relief for some time but the skin condition and symptoms relapsed.

Physical Generals

The patient had an average appetite. He had no specific craving for any food or drink. His thirst for water was adequate. He had no issues related to the urine and stool. His sleep was normally sound and refreshing.

Psychological Generals

The patient was a medical student. He was staying in a hospital for the last 1 year. Often, he experienced stress related to his studies but other than that he had no major stress or anxiety.

Self and Family’s Medical History

The patient had no major illness in the past. His mother suffered from Hypertension and Osteoarthritis. 

At Life Force

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed his research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient. A diet chart was also provided to the patient along with the medicines.

Follow-Ups

On 15th December 2018, the patient reported to us that he had experienced an overall improvement with the medicines. The spread of the disease had stopped. The scaling was reduced than before. The thickness of his skin patches was as it is. Dryness was also present. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed further medicines to the patient.

On 29th December 2019, the patient updated us that he was almost 50% better with the medicines. The scaling had reduced. The thickness of the lesions was less now. Dryness of the skin was still present but the disease was completely under control. No new lesions had appeared. Also, no spread in the old lesions had occurred since he started with the medicines. The patient was very happy with the progress.

On 22nd January 2021, the patient updated us that he was getting better but suddenly in the last few days the scaling had increased again on his palms and soles. On further evaluation, it was found that the patient had a lot of stress in the past few weeks which could have triggered his disease. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed him further medicines.

On 7th December 2021, the patient reported to us that he was 70% to 80% better with the homeopathic medicines. The scaling was very minimal now. He had no new lesions nor there was spread in the old lesions. The dryness had reduced a lot more than before. He had experienced overall a lot of improvement with homeopathic medicines.

On 6th December 2022, the patient reported to us that he was further better now. He had experienced almost 90% improvement with the medicines. The thickness was no longer present, and the scaling was also not present. Mild dryness was present. The patient was very happy with the results.
