A 78-year-old lady (PIN: 37775) visited our clinic on 21st August 2018 for the treatment of her complaint of repeated cold and acidity along with cervical spondylosis.
Her first complaint was recurrent cold, which used to bother her with discomforting symptoms, such as repeated sneezing, runny nose, headache, and throat irritation with breathlessness. All her complaints would get aggravated after having cold drinks and sour foods. She was suffering from this complaint when she was very young. She had suffered from tuberculosis when she was 21 years old.
Her second complaint was Hyperacidity. She was suffering from sour eructation and pain in the epigastric region, which would get aggravated mostly after eating sour food, banana, and spicy food.
Her third complaint was the pain in her neck region that radiated to the whole spine with tremors in her hands while holding some object.
Her X-ray dated 11th March 2017 revealed Cervical spondylosis with reduced C5-C6 disc space. Other than this, she didn’t have any complaints. She had undergone just a cataract operation 8 years back.
The patient was mild, gentle, and soft-spoken.
Her family’s medical history revealed that her mother had Eczema and TB. Both her brother and sister had Cancer.
She was on antacid and antibiotics whenever she suffered from hyperacidity and recurrent cold. For cervical spondylosis, she applied Moov ointment.
At Life Force:
Dr. Rajesh Shah studied the case thoroughly by considering all the emotional and physical aspects of the patient and prescribed medicines for all three of her complaints. She was also provided with some dietary restrictions.
First follow-up:
At the first follow-up on 3rd October 2018, all complaints of the patient had reduced by 20%.
Second follow-up:
On 25th November 2018, the patient had experienced improvement. The frequency of her repeated sneezing had reduced. She was still experiencing pain in the neck that was radiating to the whole spine, but now it was bearable. There was also a reduction in other discomforts such as sour eructation, bloating, and flatulence. She continued the same medicine
Third follow-up:
On 21st January 2019, she experienced a remarkable relief in herrunny nose, sneezing, coughing, throat irritation, and breathlessness. Acidity was also reduced. The pain in her epigastric region, sour eructation, bloating of the abdomen, and flatulence all were reduced. Her pain in the neck had reduced, but tremors in her hand and numbness in the extremities were as it is. There was no aggravation of the complaint.
After experiencing relief from the above symptoms, she started with treatment for anxiety, which affected her after the death of her sister. Her main fear was the fear of crossing streets and claustrophobia. She was unable to stay alone and always wanted someone to be with her, or else she suffered from breathlessness and palpitation.
Follow-Ups:
She continued our medicine for 2 years for her multiple complaints.
Every month, our Life Force doctor would do counseling for her anxiety issues and take a follow-up.
The patient experienced outstanding results. She not only gained confidence, but also her anxiety reduced. She was completely pain-free from her neck pain. She could now easily hold any object that she was unable to hold previously due to tremors.
