He was suffering from nephrotic syndrome for almost 1 year. He had experienced the first episode of nephrotic syndrome a year back. He was on steroids for 4-6 months and was better. However, the protein leakage was noticed again in the last few days. A mild swelling had developed in his abdomen. The patient’s parents understood that it was a recurring disease so, along with steroids, they also started with homeopathic treatment. After analyzing his detailed medical history, it was found that the child had a cough and cold a few days back and that had triggered his nephrotic syndrome.

Physical Generals:

The child had an average appetite. He loved salty food and fruits. His thirst for water was excessive. He used to experience average perspiration. His sleep was normal and refreshing.

First followup

On 28th November 2020, the patient’s parents reported that he was overall better with the homeopathic medicines. He had reduced the steroid dose on his own and still, the patient was stable.

Second followup

On 13th January 2021, the patient’s parents updated that their child was stable. 1 episode of acute cold and cough had occurred due to the cold weather and, for 1 month, the patient was stable with an increased dose of steroids.

Third followup

On 18th March 2021, the patient’s parents updated that he had another episode of acute cold and cough and so there was a slight increase in his urine protein loss but was managed with steroids along with homeopathy.

Fourth followup

On 27th April 2021, the patient's parents updated us that he had another episode of acute cold and cough, and his loss of protein in urine was increased for 2-3 days in between, hence, the steroid is continued along with homeopathy.

Fifth followup

On 29th June 2021, the patient's parents updated that the child was completely better without steroids and his protein loss in urine was nil solely with homeopathy.

Sixth followup

On 25th August 2021, the patient's parents updated that he had experienced an acute episode of cold and cough due to a change of weather which triggered urine protein loss and so had to restart a small dose of steroids again along with Homeopathy.

Seventh followup

On 25th October 2021, the patient's parents updated that he was stable with no urine protein loss and was on a reduced dose of steroids along with homeopathy.

Eighth followup

On 17th December 2021, the patient's parents updated that he was stable with no urine protein loss even after stopping steroids. The patient’s condition was managed solely with Homeopathy.

Ninth followup

On 20th February 2022, the patient's parents updated that he was completely well without any urine protein loss. The steroids were stopped 2 months back and he was well solely with Homeopathy.

In his further follow-ups, the patient was fully stable. He was better in his relief from the frequent attack of cold and cough.
