A 67-years-old lady Mrs. N.M. (PIN 21491) visited at Life Force on 12th August 2013 with a complaint of vitiligo. From the last 10 months, the patient was suffering from vitiligo. Her disease had progressed gradually. At the time of consultation, her lower extremities and knees were affected by the disease. She had a few milky white small spots present on her legs. From the past 6 months, she was taking the homeopathic treatment from a local homeopath.

Besides vitiligo, she was also suffering from cervical spondylitis and sinusitis. From the last 30 years, she was suffering the cervical pain complaint. She was not taking any treatment for it.

The patient was non-vegetarian by diet. Her appetite & thirst were average. She liked sweet and spicy foods a lot. She didn’t like sour foods. Her motion, urine, and sleep were normal. Her perspiration was also normal. There was no specific dream. 

In her family, her mother was suffering from hypertension. She had no specific past history.

She was retired as a radio announcer. Her husband was also a retired person. 

She was expressive and confident by nature. She was short-tempered, but she used to get angry only for a few seconds and then she used to cool down. She was very sensitive and emotional. She liked reading and music.  

After studying her detailed case history, she was prescribed research-based molecule for her vitiligo complaint. 

First follow up

After two months of the medication on 28th September 2013, when the patient gave her follow-up, there was no change in her vitiligo spots. She was advised to do some tests.

Second follow up

A few months later on 18th December 2013, when she gave her follow-up, she experienced 50% improvement in her spots. Also, her cervical pain was reduced by 25%. In her tests, Vitamin D was very low so she was advised to start the supplement for it.

Third follow up

A few months later on 9th July 2014, when she gave her follow-up, her vitiligo spots were under control. There were no new spots developed. Her relief from the cervical pain was 50% improved. Sometimes, due to overexertion, it appeared but after taking the rest and our medicine it was reduced. The patient was satisfied with her improvement. 

Fourth follow up

On 24th February 2015, when she gave her follow-up, there were no new spots & her old spots were showing improvement. Her cervical pain was also under control. From the last two months, her lower back pain had started. And, this pain was radiated to the lower legs. Also, she was hearing some whistling sound continuously. So, Dr. Shah did the required changes in her medicine.

Fifth follow up

On 3rd November 2015, she reported that her vitiligo condition was under control. Her shin bone spots were looking dull in color. And, her relief from the cervical pain was more than 75% improved. Her relief from tinnitus complaint was also improved by more than 50%. But, her back pain was aggravated a few days back due to exertion.

Sixth follow up

On 16th March 2016, when the patient gave her follow-up, her condition had improved a lot. Her vitiligo, cervical pain, and tinnitus complaints all were showing very good results. Her relief from cervical pain and tinnitus complaints had improved by more than 75%. Her vitiligo complaint was also improved more than 60%. Her vitiligo spots looked dull in color. There was no change in her backache.

Conclusion:

As we know, vitiligo is a stubborn disease. Sometimes, in treating an autoimmune disorder like vitiligo, the result is variable. But still, in this case, good results are obtained with homeopathic medicine without any side-effect.
