Here’s a case of schizophrenia treated with homeopathy effectively.
Case Study
A 42-year-old male patient (PIN: 48030) visited Life Force Homeopathy, Jayanagar Branch on 3rd May 2022 for the treatment of his complaint of schizophrenia that was diagnosed 20 years back. The patient had taken multiple treatments with no results. The main presenting symptoms of schizophrenia were hearing the voices of a crowd conspiring to harm him and his family. Also, he heard a different voice trying to guide him on what to do and what not to do. The patient did not trust people, so, he preferred social isolation.
He remembered things that has happened long back compared to the present, and he felt that memory was becoming weak. He had trouble sleeping due to the constant voice in his ears and the crowding of thoughts in his mind. The patient was always in a confusion whom to trust whether the voices that he hears or his family members. The patient also spoke to those voices. The patient always felt drowsy throughout the day and would wake up unrefreshed every day. He also used to get angry and extremely irritable with the slightest noise.
A detailed case history was taken by considering both his mental and physical generals.
Physical Make-Up
The patient was a pure vegetarian and had an average appetite. He liked spicy food. He had an average thirst and drank 2 liters of water daily. He was experiencing average perspiration. He was intolerant to the cold weather. His bowel movements were satisfactory, and he had no urinary symptoms.
Psychological Make-Up
His childhood and family history were asked about and noted. He had a happy childhood with a well-supportive family. The patient was mild, gentle, and shy. He was also nervous throughout the consultation.
He used to get angry and irritated, particularly when someone would talk against him.He would never forget if someone hurt him and would always keep that in mind. He was very sensitive and used to get hurt easily. He was indecisive and would always get confused about to take decisions.
He was reserved and did not like socializing. The patient did not trust anyone and felt that they may harm him.His intellectual sphere was also considered. His memory was weak, perception, logic, intelligence, and analysis all were good.
Self and Family’s Medical History
His history of ailments, treatment history, and family history were all asked about and updated. His systemic and general examination was done and details were updated in the case file.
After going through the entire case file and after doing a proper analysis of the case, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines to the patient.
Follow-Ups
At the first follow-up on 4th July 2022, the patient’s sleep had improved, fear was reduced, and talking to imaginary noises had reduced. His auditory hallucinations persisted but the relief from them was better. His fatigue sensation also persisted.

By the follow-up on 29th October 2022, the patient was better by 50%. Only fatigue and drowsiness sensations persisted.
