A 13-year-old psoriasis patient (PIN: 31391) suffering from symptoms for the last 4 months consulted Life Force in February 2017. After the consultation and explaining the scope of homeopathy in treating psoriasis cases, the patient wanted to start the treatment as soon as possible.

The patient’s parents had filled out the online questionnaire through our PSS platform then an associate doctor made a call to the patient and explained the condition to his parents.The patient's complaints were received and according to the photos of the disease that includes red erythematous lesions were present on different body parts, such as B/L legs, knees, back, scalp, face, groin area, penis, arms, chest, and nails. The patient had been suffering from this complaint for the last 4 months. Initially, for 4 months, he had taken conventional medicine along with steroid-based ointments.

His eruptions were present on his face, knees, legs, arms, and back bigger than mustard seeds, and scalp approx. 1.0cm, but, after stopping this ointment and oral medicines, his disease had progressed on all the body parts. These eruptions had itching, scaling, dryness, and roughness. The itching & scaling was most severe on the knees, scalp, and groin area. Psoriasis surfaced after suffering from viral fever. The itching and scratching in these areas led to bleeding. Also, itching was severe on the penis. The itching on the rest of the areas i.e. arms, face, and back was very less. The scaling was the most severe on the knees, scalp, and groin area.

Physical Generals

As per his physical generals, he was a non-vegetarian and very fond of spicy food and chicken. His thirst was very less, and his perspiration was average. Thermally, he was tolerant of the heat and did not like the winter season.

Disease’s History

In June 2016, he was circumcised due to constant itching on his penis. The doctor advised circumcision after the medicine failed to cure the itching. It was suspected that the itching was due to poor hygiene care of the under the skin of the penis. All his milestones were also on time. 

Psychological Generals

He was a happy child, and, when angry, he just goes in the shell and doesn't discuss the reason for his anger with anybody till his parents don't provide him the attention for his anger. Usually, he was happy-go-lucky, very energetic, talkative, and mischievous.

Follow-Ups

The patient showed no improvement in the first 3 months after starting the treatment. The progression of the disease stopped, and, after 4 months, the patient's improvement was 75%. In further follow-ups, i. e. in August 2017, the patient showed a 90% overall improvement. Only dull black hyperpigmented spots were remaining; hence, he continued the medicine. 

In October 2017, the patient showed a 95% improvement in recovery from all skin areas. The psoriasis was present a bit on the groins and the anal region was still red but better than before. 

After six months of homeopathic treatment, the patient experienced a 95% betterment in his recovery from the skin condition. He was very regular in following the medicine and followed all the instructions as well.

On 17th February 2019, small new lesions appeared on the patient’s back So, Dr. Shah sir reviewed the case and prescribed medicines to the patient.

After this prescription, the patient felt better in the next follow-up. The patient was regular with his medications and followed the diet and all the instructions regarding the protection of his skin.

In March 2022, the patient experienced an overall 95% improvement. Two small eruptions i.e. one on the neck and the other on the abdomen area were there. The eruptions are both of the size of small pimples. There were 5-6 spots on the scalp as before. The spots on the scalp were the size of a small one-rupee coin.  

In May 2022, the patient had slight redness in the groin areas, armpits, and over the scalp in a week but with no itching or lesions.

In his recent follow-up in June 2023, the patient had no new spots or redness, and his old lesions were stable.
