A 13-year-old female patient, Miss S.T. (PIN: 31061) came to Pune branch of Life Force with the complaints of white spots on 23rd Jan 2017.
Hypopigmented spots had started appearing suddenly on her skin 3-4 years back and were spreading slowly since the last 4-5 months. These hypopigmented spots were on her eyes bilaterally, lips, the corners of the mouth, behind both the ears, nasal septum, tips of the toes bilateral, right wrist joint, and below both the knee joints. She had taken allopathic treatment in the past.
She had no family history of vitiligo.
The patient had a large frame & was obese. She was a vegetarian. She had a craving for spicy & fast foods. Her thirst had decreased.
She was mild, shy, and polite in nature. She was playful and liked video games.
After a detailed case analysis, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based medicine for vitiligo. She was advised diet and regimen too. She was told to avoid sour foods.
First follow up
When she gave the first follow-up on 12th March 2017, there were no new spots, and her old spots were as it is.
Second follow up
On 15th May 2017, she was better by 20%. No new spots had appeared, and her old spots showed improvement in terms of recovery.
Third follow up
On 8th July 2017, she was better by 30%. There were no new spots, and old spots showed an improvement in term of recovery.
Third follow up
On 17th August 2017, her improvement in recovery from vitiligo was more on the right side than that on the left. The spot below the nasal septum had reduced in size, from triangular it had become linear. Re-pigmentation was observed in the spots below her knee joints. The patient had experienced a 100% recovery from the spots on the right index & middle toes.
Fourth follow up
On 18th September 2017, the patient showed an overall 50% improvement in recovery from vitiligo.
Fifth follow up
On 14th November 2017, the patient showed an overall 60% improvement in recovery from vitiligo.
Sixth follow up
On 1st January 2018, the patient showed an overall 70% improvement in recovery from vitiligo. The spot on her right wrist joint was 100% healed.
Seventh follow up
On 19th March 2018, the patient showed an overall 70% improvement. The corners of her mouth were 90% healed.
Eighth follow up
On 3rd June 2018, the patient showed an overall 80% improvement. Her recovery from vitiligo spots on the eyes & upper lips showed 60% improvement. The spots behind her ears were 60% Healed. And, the spots below her knee joint were also 60% healed.
Nineth follow up
On 5th August 2018, the patient showed an overall 85% improvement. Her corners of mouth showed a 75% improvement. The oral commissure was 80% healed.
Tenth follow up
On 9th December 2018, the patient showed a 90% improvement. The corner of mouth & oral commissure spots had 90% healed. The spots below the knee joints had 100% healed.
The patient is happy and satisfied with the treatment received at Life Force and is continuing it for further recovery.
Conclusion:
This case shows how homeopathy helps in the better management of vitiligo spots located on mucocutaneous junctions, which are very challenging. Homeopathy is highly effective in treating vitiligo incredibly and safely without any side-effects.
