It is a common fungal infection of the skin resulting mainly due to excessive sweating and leads to patches of the skin that may dry out and form scales. Here’s a case of a Tinea patient who found relief with homeopathy.
A 65-year-old male patient, Mr. J. S. visited Life Force Homeopathy’s clinic in Borivali on 6th February 2020 patient with complaints of Tinea since 2018 affecting his both legs, below the knee, groins, scrotum, perineal region, and waist. The condition was treated with antifungals. He was experiencing severe discomfort at night prevented him from sleeping well. So, he avoided sleeping at relatives' places due to itching that was badly affecting him.
Associated Diseases
The patient had associated conditions, namely
- Diabetes since 2014 that was stable with conventional treatment
- High blood pressure that was stable with conventional treatment
Physical Generals
The patient was stout and flabby. His weight was 81 kg. He had an appetite average. The patient was ambi-thermal. He suffered from constipation and had unsatisfactory stool. He had a loss of libido. On his tongue, he had developed a thin white coating. He was experiencing interrupted sleep and would wake up at 2-3 am. The patient would experience nightmares and wake up in a frightened state. He used to talk when asleep. His routine involved a lack of exercise as he would sit in his shop from 7: 30 am till night.
Self and Family’s Medical History
The patient was 2.5 years when his mother expired and was bought up by his maternal uncle. He had studied till class 9 and was not much aware of the family’s medical history related to the disease, as his parents expired when he was very young. His spouse was 59 years old and was a homemaker. His son was 37 years old and was married and working. His grandson was 5 years old. The patient had undergone a Tonsillectomy at the age of 5 years
Psychological Generals
The patient when angry would express it and then forget it. He was impatient and would get angry easily, and he had not made any close friends till now. When free, he would sleep.
On Examination of the Skin
- Post-inflammatory depigmentation marks were observed on the waist.
- Hyperpigmentation in groins, head, face, & neck was observed.
At Life Force
