What is Lichen Planus
Lichen Planus is an inflammatory condition of the skin and mucus membrane. It results when the immune system mistakenly attacks the skin or mucus membrane resulting in red purplish, inflamed, and fluid-filled lesions on the skin and mucous membrane, white lacy lesions, or, sometimes, related painful sores.

- Oral Lichen Planus – affects the oral cavity.
- Vulval/Penile Lichen Planus – affects the genital area.
- Lichen Planopilaris – affects the scalp.
- Nail Lichen Planus.
- Lichen Planus Pigmentosa – affects the skin but only pigmentation is there without inflammation.
Here is a case of Oral Lichen Planus healed with Homeopathic medicines.
A 60-year-old male patient, Mr. R.B. (PIN: 43044) visited Life Force Homeopathy to treat his Oral Lichen Planus. The patient has had Oral Lichen Planus since July 2019. He had lesions inside the mouth on both his cheeks, gums, & tongue. He had blue pigmentation on the tongue. He was experiencing burning while eating or drinking anything. He could not eat spicy food. Also, the patient had Diabetes and Hypertension for five years.
Physical Generals
The patient had an average appetite and thirst. He craved spicy food. He was more tolerant to the heat.
Medical History
The patient had a history of kidney stones for which he had undergone Lithotripsy.
Family medical history of any disease was not specific.
Life Profile
The patient was living a happy and stress-free life in general. He was living with his father, wife, and children and had good interpersonal relations.
At Life Force
After a detailed analysis of the case, Dr. Shah prescribed his research-based medicines for Lichen Planus to the patient.
Follow-Ups
On the first follow-up on 22nd July 2020, the patient had a 30% relief. His lesions had stopped spreading. The burning had also reduced.
On 18th September 2020, the patient said that he had 40% relief in his lesions.
On 17th November 2020, the patient said that he was experiencing 50% relief. His lesions were changing color from grey to whitish-grey.
By 18th March 2021, the patient had experienced a 60% relief. He had a mild burning sensation while eating spicy food.
The patient was stable and was showing further improvement slowly. And, till 30th May 2022, he had no burning while eating spicy food now. No new lesions had appeared, and old lesions were recovering slowly.
By 14th September 2022, the patient had no new lesions. His old lesions healed more than 70%. He had neither any burning nor pain while eating. And, even while eating spicy food, he experienced no burning sensation. Also, the pigmentation on his tongue was fading.
The patient was very happy with his treatment at Life Force and is continuing homeopathic treatment for a complete recovery.
