She had delivered a baby boy 6 months back. The quantum of her hair was better earlier and throughout her pregnancy, but soon after delivery, there was enormous hair loss. This is known as telogen effluvium. The hormone oestrogen is responsible for good hair and glowing skin during pregnancy, but after delivery there is a drop down in the oestrogen levels which results in hair loss.

She had applied minoxidil 2 weeks ago, after which the hair fall had become more severe.Her appetite was average with craving for eggs, chips and beef. She preferred cold weather.
