Twenty-one years old female, Ms S.K. (Patient reference number 11240) visited Life Force for the treatment of Crohn’s Disease on 4th October, 2008. She was suffering from last two years. She presented with severe pain in abdomen with 3-4 stools per day. She used to pass blood in stools occasionally. Colonoscopy and biopsy suggested the diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease with ulceration.

She was on conventional medicines like Inj Ramicade 200mg once a month. There was a history of taking Wysolone (corticosetroids) and Mesacol for almost one month. Her general health was also poor. She had around 5 kg weight loss during the course of illness.

She had average appetite with craving for sweets. Her bowel movements, urination and perspiration were normal. Her sleep was normal with no specific dreams.

Ms S.K. was a BBA student with good confidence and having good painting skills. She was introvert by nature and short tempered. There was no major stress in her life.

Based on the above history Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed research based homeopathic medicines. Within first two months there was slight improvement in abdominal pain. There was not much improvement in her general condition. Her Ramicade therapy was being continued.

In next three-four months, there was further improvement in her pain. Stool frequency was reduced to once or twice a day with well-formed stools. Dose of Inj. Ramicade was also reduced to once in two months. Her appetite improved.

Inj Ramicade was stopped within next four-five months and she was only on homeopathic medicines. Her general condition further improved. She could gain 3-4 kg of weight in these six months. There was no relapse of the disease even after stopping all conventional medicines. Her homeopathic medicines were continued for another one year.

By 11th February, 2011, she has completely recovered from Crohn’s Disease with two years of regular homeopathic treatment.

A smooth transition from conventional medicines to homeopathy was achieved. The treatment was so planned that she did not get flare ups.

Gradually the dose of homeopathic medicines was also reduced. She did not have flare ups. Finally Dr Shah stopped all her medicines.
