A 70-years-old female, Mrs. S.M.G. (PIN: 24530) visited at Life Force center on 7th January 2015 with the complaint of (left-sided) trigeminal neuralgia. She was suffering from this complaint for 8-9 years. The patient had undergone surgery twice, first in 2008 & second in 2009. But, she got the result only for six months, later, the pain relapsed. For her pain, she was taking conventional medicine, but, her pain had aggravated for 15 days before her visit to the center. She was experiencing left-sided facial pain. Electric current like the pain was present. And, the duration of her pain was a few seconds. The pain was severe for 15 days. The patient was taking allopathic medicine continuously. The patient’s condition used to get aggravated during eating, talking, washing the face, drinking, and brushing. Besides this, the patient had an acidity & joint complaint.
Her appetite was reduced. The patient was not eating enough due to the fear of relapses of pain. She did not have any specific liking & disliking. Her thirst and sweating were normal. Her stool & urine were normal. Her sleep was normal.
She was doing babysitting. Her husband was a retired person from the army. Her son was working in IT sec in the US, & her daughter was a lecturer in Pune. The patient had no specific past medical history. There is no specific disease history in her family. She was a strong believer in God. She was a very jolly & happy person. She was workaholic. She was adjustable and mixing in nature. She enjoyed the company. She was talkative. She wanted to do something. She took care of her family & relatives.
After going through her detailed case history, Dr. Shah prescribed two doses of Arsenicum album 30 and research-based molecule to her. At her first follow-up on 6th April 2016, she reported a drastic improvement in her condition. Her recovery from the condition had improved by 50%. The frequency of her electric current like pain had reduced a lot. Her severity of pain had also reduced. On her follow-up on 8th September 2016, she reported an excellent improvement in her condition. She got a 75% improvement in her relief from all the symptoms. No major episode had appeared in the last three months.
When the patient gave her follow-up on 23rd March 2017, the patient had experienced 80% relief from all the symptoms. She felt a mild pain only on the left side of her forehead and eye at the time of pranayama. Her other conditions, such as acidity and joint pain, were also showing some improvement. On her next follow-up on 10th November 2017, she reported no complaint with her condition. Her relief from the pain had 80% improved. She felt only a mild pain in the morning at the time of pranayama. Except this, she didn’t feel any severe episode of pain. Her recovery from the others complaints was also showing a good improvement. For pain in her shoulder, she was advised to do the exercise regularly.
On 19th March 2018, she informed that her pain had relapsed for one month due to exposure to the cold air as she had been to Munnar. She felt the same electric shock-like pain. As per her condition, Dr. Shah did the required changes in her medicine. On 4th August 2018, she informed that her condition was good. Her pain had reduced within a few days in March after the medicine was changed. She didn’t feel any pain now, except just a mild pain at the time of pranayama. She was very happy with the results.
She is still continuing her treatment from Life Force for the total recovery.
