Trigeminal neuralgia (TN), also known as tic douloureux, is a type of chronic pain disorder that involves sudden, severe facial pain. It affects the trigeminal nerve, or fifth cranial nerve, which provides feeling and nerve signaling to many parts of the head and face.
At Life Force Homeopathy:
A 26-year-old female patient, Ms. T. (PIN: 45997) from Uttar Pradesh started treatment from Life Force by following online protocol for her complaints of trigeminal neuralgia. She was suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) for 7-8 years with Progressive Pain for the last 2 years with intervals reducing. She presented with the complaint of pain in the left jawline pain radiating to the left corner of the mouth, jaw, and eye area.
Associated Disease:
Anxiety was reported in the patient.
Cholelithiasis (gallstones) was diagnosed but not treated at Life Force Homeopathy.
Investigations:
MRI Brain on 10-06-2016 showed no significant abnormality.
USG’s abdomen on 11-08-21 indicated multiple gall bladder stones, the largest measuring 7mm.
Treatment and Follow-Ups:
Ms. T. sought treatment at Life Force Homeopathy for her debilitating Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). Life Force Homeopathy conducted a comprehensive case study that included detailed history-taking and blood investigations. Dietary recommendations were provided as part of her treatment plan. At the first follow-up on the 30th of September 2021, the patient experienced improvement in her relief from pain frequency, severity, and duration. Her pain had reduced albeit with fluctuations. Subsequent Follow-Ups:
At the follow-up on 12th March 2022, the patient experienced a continued improvement in relief with occasional dull pain once in 5-6 days.
At the follow-up on 30th August 2022, the patient experienced a remarkable improvement with a reduction in frequency, severity, and duration by 80% to 85%. Occasional dull pain occurred.
Latest Follow-Up (27/08/23):
During the homeopathic treatment, Ms. T's condition steadily improved. Her pain frequency, severity, and duration reduced significantly. Occasional mild episodes occurred, primarily associated with specific triggers (for instance, travel in AC train and cold weather).
Ms. T. reported taking supplements for Iron, D3, and B12 as advised. Ms. T experienced no major TN episodes. Dull aches occurred infrequently, lasting for half a second every 10 days or so.
Frequency of TN Episodes: Initially, Ms. T experienced TN episodes multiple times in an hour. A gradual reduction in frequency occurred to once daily. Eventually, episodes occurred sporadically, lasting only a few seconds.
Duration of TN Episodes: Initially, episodes lasted for up to 50 seconds. Consistent reduction in duration of episodes resulting in the episodes lasting only a second or less.
Conclusion:
This case study highlights the effectiveness of homeopathic treatment sought at Life Force Homeopathy in managing trigeminal neuralgia for 7-8 years. Through a holistic approach, including homeopathic treatment and dietary recommendations, Ms. T. experienced significant relief from her TN symptoms.
