Freedom from Hormonal Tablets: 9-Year PCOD Reversal with Homeopathy
A 32-year-old female, Miss S.B.T. (PIN: 23254), visited Life Force Homeopathy in August 2015 for chronic PCOD, which she had been experiencing for 9 years. Her main concerns included irregular or absent periods without medication, significant weight gain, and recent hirsutism. An ultrasound from 2014 confirmed polycystic ovarian changes in both ovaries. She also had associated conditions such as psoriasis/seborrheic dermatitis, hypothyroidism (since 2011), and long-standing hyperpigmentation. Her family history included diabetes and multiple myeloma, and she had a cousin with PCOD. After a detailed evaluation, individualized homeopathic treatment and dietary guidance were prescribed at Life Force. Treatment Progress Oct 2015: Menses remained irregular; a gap of two months was noted. Dec 2015: Only mild brown spotting, no proper periods since October. May 2016: Significant improvement—regular menstrual cycles resumed; only mild mood swings. Aug 2016: Continued regular menses with normal flow. Mood swings and spotting had resolved. - Irregular periods or no periods at all.
- Difficulty getting pregnant (because of irregular ovulation or no ovulation)
- Excessive hair growth (hirsutism) – usually on the face, chest, back, or buttocks.

- Thinning of the hair and hair loss from the head.

A 32-year-old female patient, Miss. S.B.T. (PIN: 23254) visited the Borivali clinic of Life Force Homeopathy on 8th August 2015 for the treatment of PCOD that she was suffering from for 9 years.
Chief Complaints:
She presented with prominent complaints:
Irregular menses, Menses only with medicines otherwise amenorrhea
Weight gain (gained 15 kgs in 9 years)
Hirsutism since 2 years (jawline)
Investigations:
Her medical investigation USG reports dated 31st July 2014 revealed
Both ovaries are bulky with multiple small peripheral aligned follicles S/O-PCOD
Mentals Generals:
By nature, the patient was mixing well, obstinate, and very good with all socially. She loved eating. The patient used to have a positive outlook toward life and all problems. Looking for proposals stressed her with the thought that her body is not prepared. Her mother and father were in a turmoil relationship.
Past Medical History:
In her childhood, she had a fear of being alone.
Family’s Medical History:
The patient’s mother had multiple myeloma, and her father had diabetes. Her cousin sister had PCOD.
Associated Disease:
The patient had associated diseases namely psoriasis/seborrheic dermatitis, an underactive thyroid since 2011, and hyperpigmentation for 9 years.
At Life Force:
At Lifeforce, a detailed case-taking was done. After studying the case in detail, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed some homeopathic medicines and dietic modifications to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
First Followup
At the first follow-up on 9th October 2015, the patient mentioned that her LMP was 15/8/2015, and her menses were delayed for 2 months.
Second Followup
On the follow-up on 16th December 2015, mild spotting of brown blood was present. She had no menses after 9th October 2015.
Third Followup
On the follow-up on 14th May 2016, the patient had now menses regularly. Merely mild mood swing was present. The spotting had reduced.
Fourth Followup
At the follow-up on 7th August 2016, she had menses regularly. Also, she no longer experienced mood swings. Also, she was no more experiencing spotting. The patient was very happy.
Every month, now she experiences menses regularly with the normal flow; so, her treatment was stopped.
Conclusion:
This case highlights that at Life Force Homeopathy a patient of 9 years chronic PCOD having a treatment history of hormonal tablets was treated successfully with homeopathy by stopping the progressive tendency of disease and restoring the regularity of the menstrual cycle. Homeopathy promotes recovery from PCOS effectively and safely without any side effects.
