Homeopathy Helped Lumbar Spondylosis Patient Gain Relief and Better Daily Function

A 52-year-old woman with long-standing lumbar spondylosis sought homeopathic care for piercing back pain radiating to the left leg. MRI showed disc bulges and nerve compression. Under Dr. Shah’s treatment, her pain and stiffness reduced steadily. Within months, she achieved 70–90% relief, improved mobility, and better sleep. Homeopathy supported long-term comfort and enhanced daily activity while reducing the impact of chronic wear and tear.

Mrs. S.V.R., a 52-year-old woman (Patient ID: 16795), came to the Chembur branch with her son to seek medical intervention for lower back pain that has been present since 2008 and has worsened over the past 2 months. She presented with lower back pain and stiffness.  The pain was more of a piercing type, at times a cutting type of pain that radiated to the left knee and calf muscle. The pain would get worse after lifting weights and at night, especially around 11 pm.  The MRI report was suggestive of a disc bulge between the 4th & 5th Lumbar Vertebrae, as well as between the 5th lumbar vertebra & the sacrum, and compression of the nerve roots exiting from the affected areas. The likely diagnosis was Lumbar spondylosis.

Lumbar spondylosis refers to the degeneration of the spine in the lower back (lumbar region). It is commonly caused by the natural ageing process, leading to wear and tear on the vertebrae, intervertebral discs, and other components of the spine. Spondylosis involves the breakdown of these structures, which may result in pain, stiffness, and, in some cases, nerve compression.

Apart from painkiller gels and Ayurvedic oils, she was not on any medications, she was not taking any oral medicines.

CONCLUSION:

Homeopathy offers a gentle and holistic approach to managing lumbar spondylosis, with remedies that address pain, stiffness, and inflammation, as well as emotional factors contributing to the condition. While homeopathy can be beneficial for symptom relief, improving mobility, and supporting overall well-being, it should be considered as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes conventional medical care and lifestyle modifications, especially in cases of advanced degeneration or nerve involvement.
