10-Year-Old Girl Achieves 90% Recovery from Steroid-Dependent Nephrotic Syndrome with Homeopathy

A 10-year-old girl, Ms. P.S., from Delhi, suffering from steroid-dependent Nephrotic Syndrome for 5 years, approached Life Force Homeopathy in January 2018. Her condition had worsened following a dengue infection in October 2017, leading to edema, irritability, weakness, weight gain, and frequent urination. She was taking Prednisolone and Lansoprazole at the time. Under Dr. Shah’s care, she was prescribed individualized homeopathic treatment and advised dietary modifications. Within a month of starting homeopathy, she was able to stop steroids, and her symptoms—including swelling, irritability, weakness, and recurrent colds—gradually improved. Over the course of 16 months, Ms. P.S. showed progressive improvement in all areas. By May 2019, she had achieved 90% overall recovery, with no episodes of nephrotic syndrome since February 2018 and significantly reduced susceptibility to colds. She continues homeopathic treatment for further recovery and remains satisfied with the results. Conclusion: This case demonstrates the effectiveness of homeopathy in managing steroid-dependent nephrotic syndrome, reducing relapse frequency, and improving overall quality of life without side effects.

In October 2017, the patient was detected to have dengue, and, with it, an episode of the nephrotic syndrome also relapsed.
Most of the symptoms of this condition that were affecting the patient were masked due to steroid.
