35-years-old housewife from Noida, India, Mrs. R.G Chandra (PIN: 28408) approached LifeForce on 15th April 2016 for treating her migraine which was troubling her since four years.
She complained throbbing pain in both her temples that would last for 2-3 days every 3 times a month. Pain used to start with a mild headache and then it used to increase suddenly within half an hour to a severe headache. Also, she used to suffer from continuous nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, and sensitivity to noise. During the episode, she used to turn irritating and refrain herself from speaking to anybody, and further, she wanted to stay in a dark room.
Her sleep was disturbed. Her appetite was also reduced.
Her complaints had started after her first delivery. Empty stomach, perfumes, and extreme heat used to trigger her migraine attacks. Even painkiller would not help her. She used to take Panadol Advance 500 mg (Paracetamol) and Tab Trika 0.25 mg (benzodiazepine) when her pain was quite severe.
Also, she suffered from complaints of piles since 6 months, 10 days after her delivery. She used to suffer from pain in her anus after passing stools. She would feel some mass is in the rectum. There was no bleeding, no constipation, or straining related to her piles.
Her appetite was average. She had cravings for sweets and chicken. Also, she had excessive thirst. She used to drink 4-5 liters of water every day. She hardly used to perspire. She was sensitive to the hot climate.
She was a homemaker but used to work from home. She has two daughters, and her husband is a businessman in Dubai. She is a social person, and she likes talking to people. She was quite practical and used to handle her emotions very well.
She did not have any significant past medical history. Her father had hypertension and diabetes, and her mother had a migraine and arthritis. Her brother, grandmother, and aunt too suffered from a migraine.
Based on the above homeopathic case history, she was prescribed with Sulphur 30c twice a week for 6 weeks.
After 6 weeks, she reported 50% improvement in the relief in the terms of frequency and intensity of a migraine, along with substantial relief in her piles too. Now, she no more suffered from the pain due to the piles. Also, she did not take any painkiller in the last six weeks.
In her second follow-up, she was feeling 90% better since the first day of her treatment. She was feeling much better in terms of relief from frequency and intensity of the pain. She took Panadol Advance only once in a month when there was mild pain, which too got better immediately. Her relief from discomfort due to the piles was also 90% better.
During the third follow-up after 6 months, she got only 1 severe attack, for which she took painkiller twice which helped her.
In her fourth follow-up, she was overall 90% better. Her frequency of attack was reduced from 3 times/month to once / month. She did not take any painkiller thereafter. Her relief from the piles was also improving.
So, in just 10 months of treatment, she was feeling all better with her relief from a migraine in terms of frequency, intensity, and severity. Also, her dependency on painkiller was reduced and stopped. She is now able to do her yoga and gym, which was previously not possible due to her severe migraine problems.
Conclusion
This case study highlights that homeopathy is quite effective in alleviating pain and discomfort resulting due to a migraine and piles. In addition to this, homeopathy also helps minimize the dependency on painkillers substantially.
