A 17-year-old male, Mr. D.D. (Patient ID: 49504), visited Life Force Homeopathy Kemp’s Corner branch with his father for the complaint of Coeliac disease. He had been suffering from it since childhood. The patient had abdominal pain, low appetite, and diarrhea on and off since childhood. In April 2022, the patient had biscuits and developed severe abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weight loss. On further investigation, it was diagnosed as Coeliac disease. The patient and parents became very anxious after hearing about this disease.
The only treatment that was given was to avoid gluten in the diet for life, which was very difficult for the patient. He used to get symptoms whenever there was some gluten in the food that he consumed. Sometimes, even when he doesn’t consume gluten, he used to develop symptoms like bloating, abdominal pain, heartburn, etc. His weight had not increased in the past many months. He was feeling very weak and lethargic. The patient used to take allopathic medicines for gastric complaints whenever he felt discomfort. They came to know about Life Force from the internet. So they visited on 17th October 2022 to start the treatment.
The patient had reduced appetite. He was not feeling very hungry. There was no specific desire or aversion to food and drink. Thirst was average. There were no issues with urine and stool. Sleep was sound and refreshing.
The patient was studying in the 12th Standard. His father was working in BMC, and his mother was a housewife. The patient was very extroverted and joyful by nature. He liked to mix with everyone. There was no major stress or anxiety present.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed him some research-based homeopathic medicines. A diet chart was also given to the patient along with medicines.
On 23rd November 2022, the patient reported that he was much better with the medicines. There were no major symptoms or episodes of abdominal pain or diarrhea, which he used to get off and on. He had mild bloating and heaviness in the abdomen throughout the day. His weight started to increase gradually. There was an overall improvement with medicines.
On 6th January 2023, the patient and his father updated that he was further better. The bloating and heaviness in the stomach were completely better now. There has been no episode of abdominal pain or diarrhea since starting the medicines. The appetite was improving. His weight was also increasing gradually after starting the medicines.
On 27th March 2023, the patient reported that he was feeling better. There were no episodes of abdominal pain or any other gastric complaints. The bloating and heaviness of the abdomen were no longer present. The patient was able to eat normal food in his diet, and his weight also started improving. There was no requirement to take any allopathic medicines, and he was completely on Homeopathy.
On 8th May 2023, the patient informed that he was further better now. All his symptoms had completely subsided after starting homeopathic medicines. He did not take any allopathic medicines after starting with Homeopathy. The abdominal heaviness and bloating were completely better. There was no complaint of pain or diarrhea since the start of treatment. The patient had gained almost 5 to 6 kg since the start of treatment. There was an overall wonderful improvement with medicines.
Parents thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for helping and making him so much better. He is continuing treatment to fully recover from his illness.
