17 Years Chronic Depression Patient Healed & Got Rid of Dependency on Antidepressants with Homeopathy

A 41-year-old female (PIN: 48513) suffering from depression contacted us for treatment. She visited Kemp’s corner branch of Life Force for the treatment of her complaint of Psoriasis. On enquiring about the case history, it was found that she was also suffering from depression for which she was taking antidepressants for the last 17 years. She did not have any symptoms when she consulted us. The symptoms would appear only when she missed taking the antidepressant tablet. It was postpartum depression. It started affecting her after the delivery of her child for 17 years, and it continued to date. The patient had accepted that she had to take antidepressant tablets lifelong, but her husband was positive for Homeopathic treatment. He insisted to start with Homeopathy. She started treatment for Depression as well as Psoriasis on 28th June 2022. The patient was instructed not to stop allopathic medicines immediately. It has to be tapered gradually.
Physical Generals:
The patient’s appetite was average. She had no specific desire or aversion to any food or drinks. Her thirst was average. She had no issues related to urine and stool. Her sleep was sound.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
The patient was a housewife. Her husband was in a business. She had 2 daughters who were studying at the school. By nature, she was very anxious. She wanted things to happen her way and if it does not happen then she would get irritated.
Self and Family’s Medical History:
The patient had no other major illnesses in the past. Her parents suffered from Hypertension.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
On 4th August 2022, the patient reported that there was no major change with the medicines. The condition was as it is. She was taking the same dose of the antidepressant tablet. The patient was advised to consult her physician and reduce the dose of the antidepressant. Based on this feedback, further medicines were prescribed to the patient.
On 19th September 2022, the patient's son updated that she had reduced the dose of antidepressant for the last 1 month and still there are no symptoms. Before starting homeopathic medicines, if she tried reducing it, the symptoms would reappear; but, after starting with homeopathy, no symptoms developed even after reducing the antidepressant. She had experienced an overall recovery from the depression with homeopathic medicines.
On 3rd November 2022, the patient updated that the dose of antidepressant was reduced to half now. Even after reducing the dose, no symptoms of depression affected her. The patient was very happy with the healing with Homeopathy.
On 13th December 2022, the patient was advised to stop the antidepressant by her physician and monitor the condition. The patient had stopped taking allopathic medicine and now she was totally on Homeopathy without any symptoms of depression.
On 8th March 2023, the patient reported that she is perfectly fine. She had stopped taking antidepressants for the last 3 months and there were no signs or symptoms of Depression which used to occur before after stopping with allopathic medicines. The dependency on the antidepressant was eliminated. The patient was very happy and satisfied with the results.
