(Patient Identification Number- 11577) visited Life Force on 20th December 2008 for the complaints of fissure-in-ano with sentinel piles.He was suffering from anal fissures since two years but since 15 days it had worsened. The patient presented with symptoms like frank bleeding after passing every stool and pain before and after passing every stool lasting for 30 minutes. His bowels very severely constipated since 15 days. He was taking cremaffin syrup (laxative) and an ayurvedic medicine for constipation.
He was afraid to stop cremaffin, fearing his stools would get dry and hard and his complain would be aggravated. He had been on conventional and ayurvedic medicines on and off for fissure-in-ano but that did not give him significant relief and could not control the relapses. He, then decided to start homeopathic treatment.
He was a non-vegetarian by diet. He did not have any specific liking in food. His thirst was normal. He could not tolerate heat in any form.
Mr. S.S.R. was an officer in co-operative bank. He had a sedentary job and felt that because of sitting for long hours his complaints have increased. His wife was a schoolteacher and he had 2 children. He was staying in joint family with his mother, brother and his family. He was a very calm and composed man. He hardly got angry. He was able to manage stress easily. He was very particular about his daily routine and exercised in the gym regularly.
His father suffered from diabetes mellitus, hypertension and Alzheimer's disease. His mother also had diabetes mellitus.His case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and was prescribed Sulphur 1M 1 dose and was asked to report after 3 weeks.
On 08.01.2009, he visited Life Force and reported of feeling 30% better. His bleeding and pain after passing every stool was much reduced. He still had severe constipation and had to take cremaffin everyday. His medicines were upgraded by Dr. Shah and was asked to report after 6 weeks.
