A 60 yrs old male (Patient Identification Number-14887) visited Life Force for the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. He was suffering since 6 months only but had a horrifying experience due to improper diagnosis as tooth pain.
The neuralgic pain was specifically left sided starting from left lower jaw and extending to forehead. The character of pain was “shooting pain”. The patient was unable to eat solid foods and was very frustrated to be on semisolid and liquid food since 6 months. The pains would start every time after eating.
He was diagnosed to have trigeminal neuralgia 3 months ago by a specialist as his pain was not better by common pain killers for tooth pain. After being diagnosed he was taking tablet mazetol 200 mg 3 times a day, which relieved the pains for 5-6 hours but he used to get heaviness in head which would last for hours together after taking the medicines. He tried to stop the conventional medicines one month back but the pain used to aggravate so he had to continue the same.
He was a very sensitive person; he was extremely depressed due to the disease. He was a caring and responsible person. He was sensitive to cold weather in general.
Based on above details, Dr Shah’s research based medicines for trigeminal neuralgia were prescribed for him. In 8 weeks the intensity of the pain had reduced by 40%. The attacks had reduced by 30%.
